Set in rolling hills a short drive west of Highfields and 15km north-west of Toowoomba is the
growing rural community of Meringandan. There are two parks, one school, and a country pub
which sells great meals, a convenience store and a butcher.
The main recreational venue is Cooby Dam, north of Meringandan offering water-based activities,
picnic grounds, bush walking tracks and some great fishing.
Meringandan offers larger blocks at a reasonable price and there is a school bus route into
Toowoomba. Housing in the area consists of old and new houses, brick and wood – there’s
something to suit everyone.
